Turkey's Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Bekir Pakdemirli, announced that 217 of the 223 forest fires across 47 provinces are under control. The government is utilizing significant resources, including aircraft, helicopters, water tankers, and over 5,000 forest personnel, to combat the fires. However, two forestry workers have been martyred and 85 people are still missing. The government will compensate for the agricultural land and livestock lost in the fires. The number of major forest fires in Turkey has decreased from 12 to 6.
