The Belarusian Council of Ministers has decided to lift the import ban on certain products from 'hostile countries', including Polish apples, that was imposed on January 1, 2022. The products include vegetables and fruits such as apples, pears, zucchini, eggplant, fresh market peppers, lettuce, arugula, chard and spinach. The decision, while unofficially confirmed by trading companies and producer groups, has not been officially published yet and the partial lifting of the embargo is not yet certain. The embargo had caused serious food supply difficulties in Belarus.
