The National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru (Senamhi) published the agroclimatic risk forecast for quinoa cultivation corresponding to the November 2025–February 2026 quarter. According to the report, precipitations between normal and below normal are projected in the central western highlands, while in the central eastern highlands conditions will predominantly be within the usual ranges. In the case of the southern highlands, normal rainfall is expected in most of the area. Central Highlands For the month of December, sowing activities, especially in rain-fed fields, are expected to continue normally in most of the region. Likewise, the already established plantations would advance in their first phases of vegetative growth, favored by rainfall within their usual ranges, which would adequately cover the water needs of the crop.
