Brazil will be able to export live bovines and buffaloes for reproduction to Lebanon, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed in a joint statement. The Brazilian government concluded the sanitary negotiations with the Lebanese government this Friday, the 7th.
Lebanon imported more than US$ 195 million in live cattle from various countries in 2024. "This new market opening strengthens Brazil's commercial position, which, in the same year, exported around US$ 432 million in agribusiness products to Lebanon, with highlights in meats, the sugar and alcohol complex, and coffee," the ministries pointed out.
This year, the country has accumulated 186 market openings for national agribusiness products.
