The Shenyang Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center has initiated a detailed monitoring and investigation of animal epidemics in the second half of the year, focusing on key diseases like foot-and-mouth and avian influenza. This comprehensive approach includes fixed-point and comprehensive monitoring, routine and emergency monitoring, and pathogen and antibody monitoring. Through random sampling and epidemiological investigation across the city, the initiative aims to assess the infection status and immune response in various livestock and poultry populations, helping to assess and improve current prevention measures against major animal epidemics. The sampling groups have already completed their work in some areas and plan to expand their reach, ensuring the dynamic tracking, monitoring, and early warning of animal epidemics in Shenyang to ensure the healthy development of its animal husbandry.
