Hokkaido, Japan, lifted travel restrictions and export restrictions following an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza at a poultry farm. The movement restriction area remained in place within a 3km radius of the outbreak farm, and export restrictions were initially set within a 3km to 10km radius. However, these export restrictions were later lifted. The government confirmed the NA subtype of the avian influenza virus and emphasized that there is no risk of human infection through consumption of poultry products. The government also cautioned against on-site reporting to prevent disease spread and respect privacy.
