The Regional Government of Lima inaugurated a new reservoir with a capacity of 372 m³ of water, which will allow the irrigation of 30 hectares of crops in the district of Surco, Huarochirí province. With this infrastructure, 60 agricultural producers will strengthen their production and take another step towards the technification of the countryside.
"We continue to advance with the programs of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Lima (DRAL), sowing development in every province. This is how we boost the agriculture that produces and transforms lives," said the regional director of Agriculture, José Mendoza.
He also thanked the participation and commitment of the counselor for Huarochirí, Luis Núñez López, the district mayor of Surco, Alfredo Quispe Córdova, the president of the peasant community of Surco, Jesús Huapaya Rodríguez, and Juan Santisteban Fernández, president of the Irrigation Committee of Pucará – Linday, for their valuable support in making this work a reality that strengthens local agriculture.
