Lithuania has pledged to allocate 2 million euros as part of the Grain from Ukraine initiative and is willing to increase the transit capacity of its ports to support Ukrainian exports. The Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrid Šimonite, also stated that Lithuania is prepared to provide an additional 2 million euros to Ukraine by the end of the year. She emphasized that Russia's attempts to prevent Ukrainian grain exports through the Black Sea will not succeed, and Lithuania is actively working on alternative ways of exporting grain, including new grain corridors.
