With regard to pigs, the best slaughter results were recorded for the months of July, August and September (14.45 million head), reaching the highest quarterly level in the historical series, which began in 1997. The acquisition of milk was 6.10 billion liters, down 1.7% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2021 and up 11.1% compared to the immediately previous quarter. The acquisition of leather pieces by tanneries rose 6.7% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2021, increasing 6.6% compared to the immediately previous quarter, adding up to 7.99 million whole pieces of rawhide. 1.02 billion dozens of chicken eggs were produced in the 3rd quarter of this year, surpassing by 857 thousand dozens the previous record of the survey, from the 3rd quarter of 2020.
