A European project is conducting a survey to create the perfect tomato, asking for consumer preferences. The research also considers sensory and gastronomic qualities, with over 3,000 tomato varieties studied. In 2022, there will be experiments and field visits related to tomatoes, with plans to distribute seeds and seedlings. Bulgarian varieties are being promoted, and seeds from native Bulgarian varieties are being grown in Nigeria to study their suitability in the Nigerian climate. There is potential for importing seeds from Bulgaria for various crops.
