Loreto: Producers from Yurimaguas improve the breeding of paco and bet on a more sustainable production

On the Virgen de Natividad farm, in the heart of Yurimaguas, for over 15 years a group of producers has been dedicated to raising paco, an emblematic species of the Peruvian Amazon appreciated for its flavor, nutritional value, and high commercial demand. The Minister of Production, César Quispe, highlighted that "Amazonian producers are demonstrating that sustainable aquaculture is a real opportunity to improve family incomes and strengthen local economies. From Produce we will continue to support their efforts with technical assistance and productive innovation."
