ZipAir Tokyo, a low-cost airline owned by Japan Airlines, is allowing passengers flying from Narita Airport to the United States and Singapore to order premium Wagyu beef as souvenirs via their website. This initiative, a first of its kind, is a collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, enabling foreign tourists to take Japanese Wagyu out of the country without dealing with customs procedures. The move aims to promote Wagyu overseas as domestic consumption is expected to decline due to Japan's shrinking population.
