South Korea is experiencing a surge in sales of imported fruits, with a 31.4% increase in the two days following the Lunar New Year holiday, due to rising domestic fruit prices. This is partly due to the government's tariff quotas on imported fruits. To meet the growing demand, the government plans to reduce tariffs on imported fruits. Despite the record high imports of foreign frozen fruit last year, it is expected that prices of domestically produced fruits will decrease in the coming months as shipments begin in earnest.
