The European Union has experienced a 15% decrease in apple exports to Egypt in August and September due to trade issues, with Belarus and especially Egypt being the main concerns. This decline is also attributed to a drop in global apple imports, including Italian apples, and higher sea transport costs from countries like Chile, South Africa, and New Zealand. Despite these challenges, the EU's apple trade maintains a positive annual balance, with exports being 700,000 tons higher than imports in recent years.
