President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called for a focus on fish production in the country, rather than solely on familiar products. His words were reported by the Telegram channel "Pool of the First." Lukashenko emphasized that, for now, Belarus cannot, by its own efforts, close even half of the domestic demand for fish. "We eat potatoes. But to potatoes, we need fish, not just meat and milk," he declared. The President stated that new fish farming operations could appear in the territory of the Mogilev region – one of which he personally visited during a visit. According to him, the region is already familiar with the process of their creation, so they could scale them up. Earlier, Lukashenko noted that Belarusian officials should mobilize to survive the "difficult and incomprehensible time."
