To survey the prices for the Lunar New Year, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Koo Yoon-cheol, Second Vice Minister of SMEs and Startups Lee Byeong-kwon, Vice Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Kim Jong-gu, and Director of Fisheries Policy at the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Choi Hyun-ho visited the Central Market in Cheonan, Chungnam, two days before the Lunar New Year to check the supply trends of agricultural and marine products such as dried laver. The government is supplying 270,000 tons of Lunar New Year products, which is 1.5 times the normal amount, and is investing a record-high 91 billion won to push for discounts of up to 50% on Lunar New Year products and an expanded issuance of agricultural and marine product vouchers.
