Lychees from North Vietnam's Bac Giang Province Exported to China, Reaching 4,000 Tons; Seedless Lychees from Hainan Sell at High Prices in Hanoi

90% of Vietnam's lychee exports go to China. Since early June, early-ripening lychees from Bac Giang Province exported to China have reached approximately 4,000 tons in half a month. A representative from the Bac Giang Province Department of Industry and Trade stated that this year's lychee quality is the best in 5 years, with large fruits, red skin, and long preservation period, with purchase prices ranging between 20,000-35,000 Vietnamese dong/kg (5.5-9.6 yuan/kg). This year, Bac Giang Province's total lychee production is about 165,000 tons, with an estimated 70,000 tons to be exported to China. Other major production areas include Hai Duong Province with 60,000 tons, Hung Yen Province with 22,000 tons, Lang Son Province with 22,000 tons, and Dak Lak Province with 21,000 tons.
