Food manufacturer M. Dias Branco reported a net profit of R$ 216.4 million in the second quarter of the year, the company informed on Friday, 8, after the financial market closed. The result is 14% higher compared to the same period last year, when the company reported a net profit of R$ 189.9 million.
Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) reached R$ 344.9 million, up 2.4% from R$ 336.8 million in the second quarter of 2024. The Ebitda margin was 12.7%, down from 12.8% a year earlier. The company's leverage (ratio of net debt to Ebitda) was negative at 0.1 times, unchanged from the same period in 2024, the company reported.
Net revenue advanced 3.6% on the same comparative basis, reaching R$ 2.723 billion, up from R$ 2.630 billion in the second quarter of 2024. The 9.8% decline in the volume sold compared to the same period last year was offset by a 14.8% increase in the average price.
