From January to October, China's dairy imports totaled $8.985 billion and volume was 2.1356 million tons, showing a year-on-year decrease of 14.35% and 13.51% respectively. The top ten countries for dairy imports were New Zealand, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Australia, Ireland, the United States, Denmark, Italy, and Spain.
On the other hand, China's dairy exports in October were $34 million and volume was 10,300 tons, marking a year-on-year decrease of 17.11% and 9.76% respectively. From January to October, China's dairy exports totaled $355 million and volume was 102,600 tons, showing a year-on-year increase of 4.67% and 11.33% respectively. The top ten countries for dairy exports were Hong Kong, South Korea, Macau, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Venezuela, Nigeria, and the United States. Hong Kong was the most important market for both imports and exports.
