A Malaysian delegation has been sent to Egypt to review the country's plant health procedures, as part of the process to allow Egyptian mangoes to be exported to Malaysia. The delegation, led by Dr. Mohamed El-Mansi, Head of the Central Administration of Agricultural Quarantine in Egypt, will inspect the inspection and quarantine control systems at the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine and visit a mango packing station. The delegation will also visit farms and packing stations approved by the Agricultural Quarantine to establish plant health controls for the export of fresh mangoes from Egypt to Malaysia.
