Due to recent hot and humid weather in Malaysia, durians have matured early and are now available on the market. Singapore-based store, Top Durian Station, is selling Musang King durians at a low price of 10 Singapore dollars per kilogram. However, few customers are aware of this early availability. The peak durian season usually begins in June. Malaysian durian production and export volume are on the rise, with a compound annual growth rate of 7.2% expected from 2023 to 2033. Additionally, Malaysia is set to sign a protocol for the export of fresh durians to China this year.
