Belgium's leading agricultural research institutes, in partnership with ICRISAT, IER, and Mali-METEO, have initiated a two-year project in Mali, StratAdapt-Mali, aimed at enhancing climate adaptation in the agricultural sector. The project will focus on safeguarding sorghum yield, a staple crop for millions in the country, by providing advanced modelling and decision-support tools to mitigate the effects of extreme weather. This includes the use of CLIMTAG, a web-based tool that translates climate data into actionable information for local communities. The project is expected to bolster food security and improve resilience to climate change.
