The dissatisfaction of grain producers is not about money and compensation, but rather due to the lack of laws in the agricultural sector, according to industry representatives. "When you have laws to work by and know how to develop the sector, everything becomes much easier and it will be better for us," commented Malomir Vlasov, chairman of the Association of Grain Producers from Ludogorie, part of the National Association of Grain Producers (NAGP). According to him, the most important laws that need repair or complete rewriting are the Law on Ownership and Use of Agricultural Claims, the Law on Cooperatives, and the Law on Industry Organizations. Following the major protest in 2024, a memorandum was signed in which these laws were included, but the only change according to Vlasov is in Article 37 of the ZSPZZ.
