The Brazilian Institute of Beans and Pulses (Ibrafe) has reported a surge of interest in Brazilian beans from several international markets, including Mexico, India, China, Indonesia, Colombia, the United States, and Vietnam. In response to the critical global supply of basic foodstuffs, Mexico has eliminated all import tariffs on basic basket products. Ibrafe Anticipates that this situation will persist in the coming years due to increased demand and reduced competition from East Africa. Ibrafe is calling for a public hearing to address the challenge of supplying the internal market and meeting international demand.
