The article highlights the concern of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development over the rise of dangerous animal diseases in Vietnam, despite good disease control earlier in the year. The ministry has identified a high risk of epidemics in the later months of 2022 and early 2023 due to the circulation of pathogens and weak biosecurity in small-scale livestock production. To mitigate this, the ministry has recommended measures such as enhancing research and production of vaccines and veterinary drugs, improving the veterinary system, and strengthening quarantine management. Additionally, the article stresses the importance of early disease detection, timely warning, and environmental decontamination, together with the use of information technology for disease prevention and control.
