Netherlands: Broccoli price reasonable, production moderate

After a difficult start with nice prices of around one euro per kilo but very little production, the prices for broccoli in the free trade fell to a dubious level in mid-June. After that, prices rose to just over a euro around mid-July. The price increase was short-lived, however, as they gradually declined over the next three weeks. In recent weeks, the free trade prices of 70 to 80 cents per kilo have not really been easy. Less supply of broccoli While the production level was moderate at the start of the season, the warm weather at the beginning of June led to a peak in supply, resulting in the aforementioned moderate price formation. That peak is now behind us. The production and supply of broccoli are back to normal, with screens that easily reach 500 grams.
