Automotive exports January ends with a consistently weak trend in the automotive sector: approximately 190 thousand tons were exported over 29 days (an average of 6.6 thousand tons per day), which is only slightly higher than mid-month levels. The bulk of the automotive flow traditionally consists of processed products: sunflower and soybean oil, meal, and cake, accounting for up to 90% of the structure. The share of grain cargo remains below 10%, due to the more active use of rail transport for transporting grain to the Italian markets, as well as the ban on grain imports in neighboring EU countries. The export destinations have not changed: Poland remains the largest destination market, followed by Hungary and Romania. There is also a noticeable stabilization of flows through the border checkpoints Chop, Yagodin, and Porubnoe.
