Mastic harvest was carried out in Muğla

In Muğla, the harvest time has arrived in the first mastic gardens established under the Medical Aromatic and Dye Plants Development Project initiated by the General Directorate of Plant Production in 2015. After ten years, the first mastic harvest was conducted on trees that have reached harvest maturity. The harvest event organized by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry was carried out in the closed mastic garden owned by Sabahattin Yaraşlıoğlu in the Esentepe Neighborhood of Ula district. An expert from the Aegean Agricultural Research Institute, Mehmet Tutar, also participated in the event. Providing information about mastic harvesting, Tutar noted that Muğla has extremely suitable climatic conditions for mastic cultivation, stating, "We have conducted all the controls of these gardens together since 2015.
