A total of 120 poor farming households from six communes received training in meat duck farming from Mavin technical staff and local collaborators of World Vision Vietnam. The training covered various aspects of duck rearing, including cage building, cleaning, and feeding, with a strong focus on disease prevention. Mavin also conducted field surveys to assess livestock conditions and provided recommendations for improving barns. In May 2024, Mavin and World Vision plan to donate 12,000 Mavin Cherry ducks and nearly 50 tons of animal feed to these households as part of a broader livelihood support package worth $100,000, aimed at benefiting over 400 households in Thuong Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province, between 2022 and 2024.
