Russian meat livestock farming is experiencing significant growth, with the Ministry of Agriculture reporting a 3.8% increase in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in the first eleven months of the year. This surge is evident across all categories, including cattle, pigs, and poultry, leading to a record meat production output that is expected to position Russia as the fourth-largest producer globally by 2024. The meat processing industry is benefiting from this growth, with increased production of meat products such as sausages, semi-finished meat products, and canned goods. Furthermore, meat and meat product consumption per capita in Russia is projected to reach a record 83 kg in 2024, marking a 2 kg increase from 2023.
