Dendi Ramadhona, the regent of Pesawaran region in Indonesia, is focusing on advancing the agricultural sector to enhance the quality of life of the local farming community by boosting income rather than just increasing production. The region, located in Lampung Province, has a natural potential for melon cultivation and is already a significant contributor to the province's melon market. The regent welcomes the initiative by Al Hidayat Gerning Islamic Boarding School to develop melon horticulture, aiming to further establish Pesawaran Regency as a melon-producing hub and diversify its agricultural output beyond food crops.
