The East-Fruit project has reported positive price trends for watermelons in several countries, including Poland, Russia, Belarus, and Moldova. The most significant increase was in Moldova, where watermelon prices doubled due to a decrease in supply caused by dry weather. In contrast, Belarus experienced a decrease in watermelon prices due to high initial prices leading to reduced consumer activity. The melon market in Russia saw an increase in prices for imported, high-quality melons due to a disappointing production season, while prices in other countries remained stable.
