REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) is strengthening the role of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) as the backbone of the distribution of affordable cooking oil Minyakita through Trade Minister Regulation Number 43 of 2025. This step is taken to ensure the selling price of Minyakita remains in line with the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) in various regions. Trade Minister Budi Santoso places the strengthening of distribution by SOEs as one of the main improvements in the governance of affordable cooking oil. The government believes the involvement of SOEs has proven capable of maintaining price stability at the consumer level. "We believe that efficiency in the distribution of Minyakita will further encourage the formation of prices in accordance with the MRP to support the stability of cooking oil prices.
