REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman demonstrated his seriousness in discussing humanitarian-oriented food cooperation for the Palestinian people. He emphasized that Indonesia's support for Palestine will be realized concretely through investment programs and sustainable agricultural development.
"For us, helping Palestine is not just about food, it is also about humanity. Our brothers and sisters there deserve a decent life, including the right to food," said Minister Amran during his meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Zuhair Al-Shun, in Jakarta, Thursday (30/10/2025).
As an initial step, Indonesia will provide investment land for Palestine, ranging from 10 thousand to 15 thousand hectares in North Kalimantan.
This land will be developed into an integrated area for food plantations, livestock, and agro-industry, involving state-owned enterprises, the private sector, and international policy partners in Southeast Asia and other countries.
