REPUBLICA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman urged the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) to take a strategic role in developing the national agricultural sector through the development of innovations and agricultural machinery (alsintan) created by the nation's youth. He emphasized that Indonesia should no longer depend on imported technology, but must be able to produce its own modern agricultural technology. "We have already seen, the creations of the nation's youth from ITS are extraordinary. There are prototypes of cars, motorcycles, submarines, and even bicycles.
