REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, EAST LOMBOK -- Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman emphasized that West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province is one of the main pillars for the development of national corn and garlic, as well as the basis for the development of the animal feed industry in achieving sustainable food self-sufficiency for the period 2026–2030. Minister Amran stated this based on the large potential of land, agroclimatic advantages, and NTB's readiness to enter the agricultural downstreaming phase. NTB has garlic land potential of 7,750 hectares spread across several districts. East Lombok Regency has the largest potential at around 2,500 hectares, followed by North Lombok 2,000 hectares, Bima 1,500 hectares, Sumbawa 1,000 hectares, and Central Lombok around 750 hectares.
