In 2020, garlic production in Mexico saw a growth of 4.3%, reaching 86,500 tons. The United States was the primary consumer, accounting for 86.8% of the total production. However, Australia and France experienced a decline in their garlic imports from Mexico. Mexico was previously ranked ninth among garlic exporting countries from 2015 to 2019, with a export share of 0.6%.
