Mexico: Avocado from Jalisco will be exported to the US

The Secretariat of Agriculture of Mexico announced that thanks to the work in the export of Hass avocado from Michoacán, the Senasica and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), agreed to expand the export to certified producers from Jalisco, as of the next season that begins in April 2022. Currently, 98% of the so-called green gold is produced in 10 entities, among them Michoacán stands out with 1.8 million tons and Jalisco, with 248 thousand. Much of this product is export material, to destinations such as the United States, Canada, Japan, Spain, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, Honduras, El Salvador, China and South Korea.
