Mexico and Brazil have successfully amended their previous agreement, allowing Mexico to import fresh pork meat from Brazil's Santa Catarina state without the need for thermal processing. This development, facilitated by Brazilian Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, and his team, simplifies the export process and aligns with the shipping conditions of other suppliers like the USA. The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) anticipates further expansion of this recognition to other exporting regions in Brazil, such as Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná.
