She emphasized the need for international cooperation, especially in convincing China to join the effort. Medina also discussed the progress of T-MEC consultations aimed at improving the situation for these endangered species and emphasized the importance of combating illegal fishing globally. During her visit, she also explored the potential for space cooperation and met with Mexican women in science and technology fields.
