Mexico introduces new varieties of sugar cane to boost productivity and sustainability

The Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Víctor Villalobos Arámbula, participated in the commemorative event Our Wealth: Sugarcane Day, where he announced that in the 2024-2025 planting cycle of sugarcane production, new varieties will be introduced to begin the renewal of strains, which seeks to improve the productivity and resilience of the plantations. During his participation in the commemorative event, the secretary explained that in congruence with the National Development Plan and the Sector Program, actions were carried out in the sugarcane field to increase production and productivity, with social inclusion.
