The Mexican peso's strength and the implementation of the Anti-Inflation Package (PACIC) have contributed to significant growth in the meat import market in Mexico. Beef imports increased by 18% in volume compared to the same period last year, while pork imports rose 3.5% annually and chicken meat imports increased by 13.2%. However, total exports of beef, pork, and chicken fell while imports rose, resulting in a trade balance deficit of $1.55 billion.
