Midagri begins raspberry promotion in Peru

(Agraria.pe) The demand for raspberries is increasing worldwide due to their properties that are beneficial for people's health and nutrition. However, global production of raspberries has decreased in recent years. Climate changes, political events in Europe, and the poor use of some varieties (little concern for maintaining genetic material) in some countries have caused the supply of this fruit to decrease. Thus, Chile, Serbia, and Poland have lower production each year, while the United States maintains its production. In the case of Mexico, it is a large producer and supplier of fresh fruit, but the pending demand is for the frozen sector.
