Between January and May 2025, the value of agricultural production in Peru registered a growth of 2.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian and Irrigation Development (Midagri), which detailed that this growth was supported by the increased production of the agricultural subsector (+2.3%) and the livestock subsector (+3.0%). It explained that crop increases were favored by optimal climatic conditions compared to the 2023/2024 agricultural campaign, which was influenced by the El Niño phenomenon.
