Milk imports increase sharply

According to the General Department of Customs, the import turnover of milk and dairy products in the first 3 months of 2025 reached nearly 340 million USD, an increase of 39% compared to the first 3 months of 2024. New Zealand, the US, Australia, Ireland and Thailand are the main single markets supplying milk and products to Vietnam. Of which, Vietnam imported the most milk from New Zealand, reaching 126 million USD, accounting for 37% of the total milk import turnover of the country, a sharp increase of 104% compared to the first 3 months of 2024. Imports of milk and dairy products from the Australian market increased by 32% compared to the first 3 months of 2024, reaching 40 million USD, accounting for 12%. Imports of milk from the Irish market increased sharply by 48%, reaching 23 million USD, accounting for 6.7%.
