In the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam experienced a significant surge in the import of milk and dairy products, with the total turnover reaching 340 million USD, a 39% increase compared to the same period in 2024. New Zealand emerged as the top supplier, contributing 37% of the total imports with 126 million USD, marking a 104% increase from the previous year. Other notable contributors were Australia, Ireland, and Thailand. While imports from the US saw a decrease of 46%, Southeast Asian and EU countries saw substantial increases in their exports to Vietnam, with total imports from these regions accounting for 12.4% and 19.5% of the total import turnover, respectively.
