Milk producers in Turkey have their eyes on exports

According to TÜİK data, the amount of cow milk collected increased by 4.7 percent on an annual basis in January, reaching 915 thousand 522 tons. Drinking milk production by commercial dairy enterprises increased by 6 percent in the same period, reaching 153 thousand 796 tons. Tevfik Keskin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Union of Turkish Milk Producers, said in his statement on the subject that, looking at the data, milk production is slowly starting to increase. Stating that there is a seasonal increase in milk production in the spring months, Keskin stated that there is a decrease in production in other months. Keskin pointed out that milk production increased compared to last year when viewed from seasonal and calendar effects, and stated that animal availability may fluctuate over the years, but the general trend is towards an increase.
