Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo has announced the export of 25 tons of Cilacap ant sugar to Brazil from Central Java, highlighting the region's potential for agricultural exports despite the Covid-19 pandemic. The Head of the Agriculture Quarantine Agency, Kementan Ali Jamil, mentioned that exports from Cilacap Regency, including coconut sugar, ketapang leaves, albasia wood, and swallow's nests, have been increasing in volume and value. Despite a decrease in 2018, exports of coconut sugar have seen significant growth from 2015 to 2019 and are expected to rise further in 2020 due to increasing demand. The Cilacap Class I Agricultural Quarantine Station is facilitating these exports by easing Phytosanitary Certificate certification services.
