The Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture is planning to eliminate approximately 10 corrupt and inefficient subsidies, as revealed by Vice Minister Abulkhair Tamabek. These subsidies include renting bulls and sires, construction of melt water ponds, and services of audit commissions for agricultural cooperatives. The ministry is aiming to reform the subsidy system to reduce corruption and take into account farmers' opinions. The subsidy standards for milk, poultry meat, and eggs will remain unchanged. The new Subsidization Rules are currently being coordinated among state bodies and are expected to be approved soon.
