The national market price of edible agricultural products increased by 3.7% in the last week of October, with pork and egg prices seeing the highest increase at 10.6% and 6.4% respectively. The wholesale prices of soybean oil, rapeseed oil, and peanut oil also rose by 0.9%, 0.8%, and 0.2% respectively. The average wholesale price of 30 kinds of vegetables increased by 6.6%, with lettuce, broccoli, and bitter gourd seeing the highest increase. Meat prices, especially pork, also continued to rise. However, the price of aquatic products like crucian carp, grass carp, and silver carp fell slightly. The increase in egg prices was due to factors such as increasing demand, low supply due to breeding losses, and high production costs.
