Peru: Ministry of Production establishes the catch limit for cod at 162 tons

Execution for fishing vessels with permits cannot exceed December 31, 2021. The Ministry of Production (Produce) established the catch limit of the cod resource for the year 2021 at 162 tons, applicable to extractive activities carried out by fishing vessels with a valid fishing permit for the extraction of the aforementioned resource. Said quota may be modified, depending on the biological-fishing and / or environmental factors estimated by the Instituto del Mar del Perú - Imarpe, for which it must send the Produce the recommendation with the corresponding measures.
